Joseph "Pepe" Danza
Not Yet Rated Jazz | WorldJoseph "Pepe" Danza is known throughout North America as a master percussionist in various styles. He has shared the stage with the likes of Ani Difranco, the Vancouver Symphony, Oscar Lopez, David Lindley, and the reknowned world music group Asza. Pepe can also be heard on Spanish guitar with his group El Sur, or various wind instruments such as Shakuhachi (which he studied for several years in Japan), Bansuri (also spent years in India), and Ney flute, with the group JouTou. Joseph has countless award nominations for his work as a composer in film and theater, a Juno nomination, and a West Coast Awards "Musician of the Year" nomination.
