FEAR ZERO
RockFEAR ZERO"Great songs with excellent vocals. Some of the most radio friendly songs I’ve heard in a while." These are the words of CFOX Indie Music Director Trace Ventura upon hearing two tracks from the upcoming debut album by the North Vancouver 4-piece modern rock band, Fear Zero. Fear Zero is currently rehearsing several times a week while awaiting mixdown and pressing of their debut full-length album. In addition, the band will be shopping for a recording contract and/or distribution in Canada and the U.S. through prominent entertainment attorney Chris Taylor of Toronto. The band plans to build a following locally through live events, radio promotion, retail in-store performances, local cable television appearances, and co-op advertising in local print media. The band includes songwriter/vocalist/guitarist and former member of Slowdown Turbo, Ed Sadler, ex-Radiokiller bassist T.J. O''Malley, sometime Damn the Diva and session drummer Keith Mackenzie, and the amazing guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Kevin Coles of no fixed address. Ed Sadler is the driving force behind Fear Zero, having written and recorded all 10 of the upcoming album''s tracks. Formed through want ads and word of mouth, Fear Zero is the kind of band that will give you your money''s worth live. "We plan on putting a lot of time into our stage design so as not to be your average run-of-the-mill live act." says Ed. "Creating an onstage environment that music fans enjoy is just as important as having great songs to perform for them." As for the band''s moniker, Ed says, "It''s really about not being afraid to do what you want; however, I never have been fond of cold weather either, so I guess it is a bit of a double entendre as well. I''m sure those poor bastards over in Toronto will relate to that!" Jason Manning, XFM''s assistant music director had this to say upon hearing a 3 song sampler from Fear Zero''s upcoming release, "Catchy, heavy, melodic, stick-in-your-head music. This band has a great shot at doing something big." With accolades like this, Fear Zero may be one of Canada’s music success stories of 2003. Website: http://www.fearzero.com
