Five ways to describe the sound, the look, and the performance of Tourist.

Tour"ist\, n. 1. One who makes a tour, or performs a journey in a circuit.

A group of ambitious and focused musicians, Tourist combines experience with motivation and talent to drive its collaborative effort forward. Lead vocalist, Blaine Braun has performed live on Canada''s premier late night show, The Mike Bullard Show, had video play on MuchMusic, and regular radio play across Canada, as well as had his songs used for movie soundtracks. Guitarist, Greg Whitbeck brings an extensive background of writing, recording, and touring with his previous band, Morning Maker. They had criss-crossed Canada and portions of the U.S. and had opened for acts such as Nickelback, and Default, as well as receiving regular airplay and strong press coverage. Mark Radloff played bass in a series of projects, which eventually led to being asked to play a western Canadian tour with Morning Maker in 2002. Behind the kit, David Swart brings a wealth of touring and recording experience with bands/artists such as Todd Kerns, Big Fat Scratch and Kirsty Thirsk. Newcomer Andy Skov, a young guitarist from Portland, Oregon brings a do anything attitude and strong songwriting ability to the band. In a culture where the turn of a dial equals the ability to access any genre, the click of a mouse gives way to innovative experiences, Tourist relies on old school work ethics to break through the monotony of today''s drive thru mentality.
