Razor sharp guitars, soaring melodies, and a freight train rhythm section, this band thrives on emotion and the heartbeat you long to be closer to. Big Red Sun is revved up Hard rock, with flavours of punk, new wave, and electroacoustic. Central to the success of Big Red Sun is a strong work ethic and a sense of humour, the players involved all creating a buzz in the scene in the past couple years, from such bands as Little Man Syndrome, RandomBlind, Imperial Playground with numerous performances and radioplay on college radio stations, they have come together to make the most honest heartfelt music possible. Their shows have been a resounding success with recent performances in Vancouver at Mesa Luna, and Tom Lee music Hall where an ecstatic near capacity crowd rushed the stage and pogoed through the entire set with arms flailing to the band. The music is sing along worthy and danceable. The guys from Big Red Sun are working on recordings for an upcoming full length release due this spring.
