The most awesomest band ever!! When they play it's like everyone else disappears and it's hard to even remember stresses of the day.

Melody Unwinding is extremely passionate about every aspect of creating music. Formed in December of 2003, this melodic trio has been redefining the local music scene of North Vancouver, BC. Each member of the band is exceptionally talented with his respective instruments, and have all grown together as musicians. In 2005 and 2006, Alex attended the World Pipe Band Championships with his pipe bands (RMM2 – Simon Fraser University). Both years, his bands returned to Canada as World Champions.

At 18 and 19 years of age, Jeff and Mark are both skilled vocalists that skillfully construct incredible harmonies. They recorded their first release, "An Endless Sunset", in August of 2005, at the ages of 15 and 16. Since then, they have progressed drastically as a band. All the while developing their music into a sound that can''t be defined as anything but their own.

"Dream of Light and Sound" is a journey. A melodic, harmony-filled trip through the different stages of one''s dream state. This effort has secured national distribution in Canada through PHD. 2007 saw them return to the studio, The Hive, in Burnaby. with Jesse Karr (Lights Below, Jakartah, A Textbook Tragedy) at the helm, eleven new songs, including the new single, "When you are Near", were born.

Mixed by (twice Juno-nominated) Sheldon Zaharko (Salteens, Smugglers, New Pornographers, Barney Bentall, Ridley Bent), at Vancouver''s legendary Factory Studios, their music truly came to life. Once Mastered by (Juno-nominated) Joao Carvalho (Hedley, Alexisonfire, Protest the Hero, David Usher, Matthew Good, Holly McNarland) in Toronto, their "Dream of Light and Sound" became reality.
