Saxophonist, bassist, guitarist, composer, arranger, and musical theatre director.Miles has had a varied and colourful musical life, working with such artists as Slide Hampton, Muhal Richard Abrams, Dizzy Reese, Sweets Edison, Fraser McPherson, Shari Ulrich, Maynard Ferguson, Fiona Blackburn , Valdy, Almeta Speaks, and Kenny Coleman as well as bands such as The Wildroot Orchestra, Skywalk and the Oliver Gannon Quartet, to name a few. From 1989 through 1995, Miles taught jazz piano at Capilano College and since then has gone on to New York City to study with the great Fred Hersch and Jim McNeely. In 1994, Miles toured Canada with his own quartet, which featured the legendary drummer, Claude Ranger.
