Not Yet Rated Blues | JazzThis dynamic young group brings a unique sound to everything from Neil young's Harvest to Ellington's Rockin' and Rhythm.Best known as tenor saxophonist for John Lurie's Lounge Lizards, Vancouver-born and New York-based Blake has also worked with Groove Collective, Tito Puente and the Gil Evans Orchestra. Michael's recent CD Kingdom of Champa on Intuition Records is a musical travelogue of his visit to Vietnam that blends East and West, ancient and modern. With slide guitar virtuoso David Tronzo, Tony Scherr on bass, and Kenny Wolleson on drums.
