Threat From Outer Space live is an experience that one should not miss. Fusing Hip-Hop, Funk Breaks, Drum n'Bass and House, Threat brings an energetic live show, with the musicality and showmanship that only a verteran act can provide.
The instrumentation of the band changes from song to song, as the gifted members of this group are more than capable of switching instruments to suit the needs of the song. Throughout the live show, Threat integrates Live Drums, Acoustic & Electric Bass, Electric Guitar, Keyboards, Synthesizers, Samplers, Beats, Trumpets, Saxophones and a live MC.
Threat has performed in such festivals as the DuMaurier Jazz Festival, North By North East and New Music West and opening for the likes of Ninja Tune's Cinematic Orchestra, Battle Axe's Swollen Members and Moka Only and performing alongside such DJ's as Mat the Alien, Kilo-Cee, DJ G-nius and Grooverobber. Threat has also been featured in two snowboarding videos from Treetop Films (Second Wind 00 and Third Degree Burns) and Televised Nationally on the Outdoor Life Network for the Sony Playstation Skate Space.
Thier Debut CD "All Systems Activated" EP, released in December 1999 established the band as a solid local act.
The highly anticipated follow-up CD "Threat From Outer Space" was released in May, 2002 (on Concepticon Records), Threat embarked on a highly successful 45 show Canadian tour to promote this disk. Fans from Victoria to Halifax were convinced that Threat is one of Canada's best.
Threat will be releasing their 1st Vinyl Release soon & touring in support of it. For full bio, news and gig listings, check out the offical website: http://www.threatfromouterspace.com Website: http://www.threatfromouterspace.com
