Not Yet Rated RockThe early days of year 2000 witnessed the formation of the Vancouver band Echophone. Emerging from various local acts, the band quickly fused and created a repertoire of music that provides a dynamic flowing foundation for sweeping and captivating melodies.
With the advent of these songs and drawing from previous performance experience, Echophone has cultivated an alluring live show that resonates with simmering intensity.
To further this momentum the band cut three tracks in July 2000 at Turtle Recording Studios. The demo captures the band’s diversity and reflects powerful songwriting and musicallity.
Inspiration has come from a variety of influences ranging from but not limited to the Beatles, Pink Floyd, R.E.M., U2 and more contemporary acts such as the Verve, Live, Massive Attack, Radiohead and The Dave Matthews Band.
