Not Yet Rated Alternative | RockPerhaps best described as "Just another homosexual gospel country punk rock band from Milwaukee." The Violent Femmes are the quintessential grand pappies of alternative rock.
Their music is sparse, perfectly balanced and so frequently on the verge of head shaking hysteria that you want to slap some leather between your teeth.
Blister In The Sun off their first, self titled, album became an immediate anthem for the disaffected and remains one of the finest rock songs ever produced - in my humble opinion.
