Whatever you do, it doesn''t take long before you find that your life has become unbearably mundane and predictable. People are boring. You are boring. Everyday is the same as the last. And then one day something happens. Everything begins to feel different, although you are sure nothing has changed on the outside. (This usually occurs after that unecessary sixth cup of coffee.) The people in your life look different -- more like wild animals than humans. You swear the events in your life have happened before, but you can''t pinpoint exactly when they took place. It is as if you are living in a dream... in fact, for once your dreams make more sense than your waking-life. You''re not sure whether you like this world more than the one you are used to; you''re not even sure if the world you knew even existed. You wander the streets, aware of every sound, every movement. You sit at your desk and marvel at the absurdity of a keyboard, of a picture frame, of a ball-point pen. You take a deep breath; the world around you dissolves.
