Not Yet Rated Funk | SoulOriginaly formed in the Summer of 2002, Southwick is an 8 piece ensemble from Vancouver. Currently we cover tunes from James Brown, Rick James, Maceo Parker, the JB's, Average White Band, and several other bands of the funk and soul era. We also cover more contemporary artists such as Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, and DePhazz. We are also starting to write original material in a similar style. Southwick consists of Drums (Brendan McLean), Percussion (Jason McMilan), Bass (David Spidel), Guitar (Rick Rodney), Trumpet (Rob Reefschlager), Alto Saxophone (Bryn Baxter), Trombone (Chris Spidel) and vocals (Kelly Proznick).
