reply to jroc:

Sorry for my tardiness. I've been out of town the last month and came back to see my computer blew up. Bad memory chip. Oh well.

I'm flexible to a degree. Usually I need a minimum of $100-160 per night for local and out of town (within 200 km) shows. For shows farther than that, I have to ask for a traveling surcharge.

Whether this comes as a cut of the door or flat rate doesn't matter to me.

geo.

Your insecurities were clearly unfounded then.

I've heard people who were very talented who were insecure and people without much talent at all be overly secure, so talent doesn't always play a part in the security equation.

I do think it says a lot about how creative you must be if it comes into your dreams like that. That is very very cool Mabel.

"odd"... I think I'm familiar with the term mj! I can over-stand how I'd have this dream; I had a gig on Thursday that I didn't even talk about or post on my web-site because I was so !@#$% insecure about it: a jazz quartet in an elegant Italian restaurant. We only had 2 practices, had to fill 2 - one hour sets, covering Miles Davis, Coltrane, Scoffield, a few of my own funk/jazz/metal poems with a guitarist that has never heard my stuff, the other musicians are top shelf in this city etc. etc. So needless to say I did alot of homework and listening to tapes, dreaming of cookies with bass riffs, wore my hipstar hat and we !@#$% rocked = the owner paid well, invited us back for more!

Last night I dreamt my sister was sitting beside me as she was repetitively offered cookies, from invisible strangers with only a hand, handing her several varieties of cookies, one at a time, each a different size and flavour and as it reached nearly in front of her I thought and heard the bass line that went with the cookie
