Theophilus London is a rapper from New York. He has been making waves and breaking some rules, finally.... Some claim he is on his way to fame, despite all the hype and collaborations with the already famous, Theophilus London has come a long way on his own and is here to stay.
Drawing on many different styles from post electric punk to soul, R&B as well as, pop ala MJ. Despite the eclectic and diverse influences Theophilus London holds it cohesively in the palm of his hand ( which quite often reached for his crotch?) does indeed deliver.
He is a rapper, a songwriter and a producer from Brooklyn. A wordsmith, the voice for the post hipster pop generation. Soon to be on the iphones of all the hipsters alongside The Smiths and Bon Iver.
Last nights performance at Vancouver's Fortune Sound Club was quite a buzz; This rapper is good. The lyrics tastefully expose and penetrate the traditional hip hop agendas with really slick rhymes and genre breaking beats.
