The most awesomest band ever!! When they play it's like everyone else disappears and it's hard to even remember stresses of the day.

The Royal Grand Prix are true veterans of the local scene, no doubt you've seen them around town in one incarnation or another - Hardrock Miners, Roots Round Up etc.

They're infectious, talented and their undivided devotion to having fun is what fuels the Prix. On second thought it's more likely that beer fuels the band. Regardless, the Royal Grand Prix know how to enjoy themselves and you can't help but love them for it.

Mac, Rosie, Robbie and Rocky Ramoli are strong individually and flat out slick when you get them together. A skilled distillation of talent and beer. And then there's the synchronized dance steps - hello! You can't tell me that's not worth the price of admission

Musically the band is very tight with well structured songs and incredible amounts of hook. The guitars never stop, the bass shifts gears like a Chevy at the speedway and the drums are fast and undiluted. The songs are jocular, somewhat witty, mostly about cars and women. Very amusing.

The band finished off the night with the title track off of their latest CD ‘Full Service” , but no encore... That means we didn't get to hear squeegee boy.

Next time.

First time in the Prix audience, and I have four words: what a #@&%ing hoot! These guys are tight, these guys are fun, these guys sweat. In a nutshell … these guys rock! I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for their entire set.

Middle-man, Rosie Ramoli, played so hard his face turned the same shade as his red coif and I swear he was sweating the beers out faster than even he could drink them. Sounds cliche but, if you want to have a good time, catch these guys live - I know I'll be book marking this band on the citygigs, (check out the 'remind me feature') for their next show.
