The Reverend Horton Heat @ The Commodore
July 20th, 2001
This gig turned out to be the highlight of my week. The Reverend was in fine form, serving up the southern fried swamp and stomp swingin' rockin blues that he is famous for.

The Reverend's band was also right on target with a smoking new drummer anchoring the set. A powerful young man with astounding flair, dynamics with a phenomenal meter. Unfortunately I never did catch his name.

Meanwhile Jimbo Wallace on stand-up bass swept the audience into submission with juicy bass lines and perfect tact.

If you haven't seen Reverend Horton Heat in action, you've really missed out. make sure to check 'em out the next time the band rolls thru town. You won't regret it. (use the citygigs 'remind me' feature and we'll let you know when the band comes back)

Like to offer us a second opinion, from a different perspective?

We're always open to what you have to say. Send your version of events to info@citygigs.com. If it's meaningful ("They really, really rocked / sucked" doesn't cut it) we'll consider it for publication.
