If you haven’t seen a show at Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park, you are missing out. Malkin Bowl is one of Vancouver’s finest locations for summer concerts. House of Blues started booking the summer concert series a few years ago, it is indeed the perfect place to see a show on a hot summer night. The Raconteurs performed on July 26, 2006; It was a beautiful star infested night. The band hit the stage shortly after 8 pm. Brendan Benson and Jack White (Yes! Jack White of the White Stripes and yes, Meg is his sister) have written some great songs. They have taken a very bare bones approach, stripping down the power pop rock. Delivering an acoustically muted rock and roll, with densely layered granular guitar action. The band is out in support of their debut album “ Broken Boy Soldier “ available in stores now. Sprout
