The Burnaby Blues and Roots festival this year hosted some of the best bluesman in history, as well as few new kids on the block. Lets start with the new kid …James Hunter from the UK was absolutely fabulous. James Hunter ‘s voice is smoky, seasoned and smooth , he’s been compared to the likes of Ray Charles and Sam Cooke. He actually ranks right up there with them, no need to compare. His surf style guitar licks and riffs give his music a distinct sound.
