Bat For Lashes @ The Plaza in Vancouver

The Plaza hosted a very special show last Saturday night. Bat For Lashes were here. I know very little about the band, but I do know good music ….The show was intoxicating. Natasha Khan lead vocalist is a singing raconteur. She tells musical tales taking you to magical places creating a visual soundscape.
Lactating rhythms, textured and fragrant vocals flourished throughout their set. It was fascinating to watch the girl’s alternate instruments, each lending their own signature sound to the instrument in hand. Listening to the lyrics of Bat For Lashes songs conjure up imagery creating a dark and delightful hauntingly musical nursery crime.
