Stevie Wonder @ General Motors Place: Saturday, July 12th
Stevie launched into a two hour set including songs from groundbreaking albums such as “Innervisions”, “Talking Book”, and “Songs in the Key of Life as well as new material from a impending album entitled “Eyes of Wonder”. His thirteen piece band, heavily laden with percussion instruments, three guitarists, a saxophonist, a trumpet player and two additional keyboard players; Stevie was in the groove all night long, not to mention he had the audience out of their seats during most of the evening. His daughter Aisha joined the back up singers delivering beautiful harmonies and some dance moves. Later in the set she performed solo.
Ending the night, a gracious and grateful Stevie Wonder, stood front and center thanking his fans for their generous support and steadfast applause.
Seeing Stevie Wonder perform live was indeed a memorable night.
