Studebakers was packed last Saturday night when local lads, Eruption hit the stage.

Eruption is a Van Halen tribute band covering all the classics like 'Jump' & 'Jamie's Cryin', and of course 'Running With The Devil'. Lead vocalist John Vander, hits all the notes and pulls off some lofty jumps, just like David Lee Roth himself (in his younger years of course).

Each member of the band has their parts down... Dave Groves (Guitar Wars Champion a few years back) scratches at his axe with fluidity and prowess, like Eddie himself. Veteran drummer Brad Ings can indeed fill the bill, including an extended drum solo with flaming sticks. Marty Van Keith on bass, powers the band into overdrive. Costumes from the era and guitar replicas from the golden age.

The band has been playing the circuit for a number of years and have definitely found their niche. As did lead vocalist John, with the floozy in the red leather pants up front and all over him (that girl should find a pole). Back to the band, if you like Van Halen check these guys out, they pull it off with all the bells and whistles.
